At A R Richards we manufacture topsoil as a mix of organic matter, mineral matter and fertiliser to produce a high quality medium. The result of this is British Standard Grade A Multi-purpose topsoil confirmed to BS3882:2015 standards. 

At A R Richards we screen all Topsoil to 10mm down. This is our most popular aggregate product supplying thousands of tonnes per year across the country. Available in 1 tonne bulk bag or tipper delivery loads up to 20 tonnes. 

MOT Type 1 is a hardwearing sub base and provides a load bearing stable layer as well as a flat surface prior to a top coating of asphalt, concrete, shingle or block paving. The fine mixture also ensures minimal voids in the sublayer when compacted.

6F2 is a recycled product created on site with our Crusher. 6F2 is material recycled to 75mm down in size and is a made up of concrete & rubble. It is used as a cost effective option for filling large voids underground, along with our other recycled material B1 Fill.

MOT Type 1 Dust is a fine granular sub-base material used in the construction industry for paths, driveways and roads as a binding material. MOT Dust is a perfect sub base for artificial grass. At A R Richards the material has been graded from 0.0 to 0.8mm which makes it easy to level and compact to give an excellent sub- base with good load bearing qualities.

10, 20 and 20-40mm Gravel is stored at our inert waste recycling site. This local stone is designed for use in soakaway systems, pipe bedding or drainage projects due to its percolation properties. We can offer you all you need for your drainage project with our range of gravels alongside our extensive range of drainage pipe work too.

Due to the natural appearance of the stone, this material can also double-up as a decorative aggregate to suit driveways and borders.

B1 Fill is a second recycled aggregate that we produce at A R Richards. Made up of stones and gravels as a by-product, B1 fill offers a cost-effective option for forming a strong subbase layer.

The builders bulk bag contains building sand of a consistent quality and colour. This essential building aggregate is ideal for use in a variety of applications, including bricklaying mortar.

Our concrete sand is specially blended to produce a high-quality binding product for use in concrete mixes. It’s most popular use is for bedding our porcelain slabs and block paving on due to its coarse properties, it allows the cement sand and grit stone to bind to form a strong base-layer for the slabs to be laid on. Alongside landscaping, our concrete sand is used in the production of cement, the laying of cables as well as the production of hot asphalt.

We also have re-written the asbestos page as well as we are looking to add an additional page. We can amalgamate the screener & crusher pages, as the crusher one doesn’t work.

 We can use this one as the ‘General Haulage’ page as this will be the new one, we want to add please. Will go through in more detail in the meeting.

This ballast bulk bag gives a mixture of sand and stone ballast to be mixed with cement for concreting applications. Also suitable for other building projects such as to provide an even sub-base for driveways, shed bases and more.
