Business Bin Sizes and Waste Streams
We are licensed by the Environment Agency, with an in-house Environment & Compliance Manager available for customer support. Our fleet collects general waste, mixed recycling, cardboard, glass and food using 240L to 1100L bins on weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedules.
Waste streams explained
- General Waste – non-recyclables, disposed of responsibly.
- Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR) – paper, cardboard, tins, plastics (no food contamination).
- Cardboard Only – flattened, clean cardboard, ideal for retail & packaging-heavy sites.
- Glass Recycling – clear, green, brown bottles and jars.
- Food Waste – cooked and raw food, coffee grounds, compostable packaging.
All bins are lockable on request, and wheels can be braked for stability.

What can go in a Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR) bin?
Paper, cardboard, plastics, tins and cans can all go in DMR. No food, liquids or black bags, as contamination can cause the whole bin to be rejected.
Can you collect food waste separately?
Yes. We supply dedicated food bins for cooked and raw waste, coffee grounds and compostable packaging. These are emptied regularly to avoid odours.
Do you supply lockable bins?
Yes, all sizes can be supplied with locks on request to stop misuse and fly-tipping.
How quickly can you deliver a bin?
Orders placed before noon are usually delivered the next working day.
How often can collections be made?
We run five days a week. Most customers choose weekly or fortnightly, but we also offer monthly or multiple weekly lifts for busier sites.
What paperwork will I receive?
You’ll get a Duty of Care waste transfer note after every collection, giving you full compliance records for audits.
Can you collect glass bottles and jars?
Yes, we provide separate glass bins for clear, green and brown bottles and jars. We do not take broken window glass, Pyrex or ceramics in these bins.
What happens if my bin is contaminated?
We’ll let you know, explain the issue and, where possible, re-sort the load. Persistent contamination may mean extra charges, but we work with you to prevent this.

Absolutely. Many of our customers start with a single 240L bin and grow from there.
