Utilising specialist concrete mixers and layers, we construct durable walled clamps with an impermeable base. All our silage pits and banks are built to last over many seasons with none of the issues of cracked walls, seepage or vermin problems.

Our team uses tractors and heavy rollers to pack crops tightly, extruding air pockets. We then seal clamps thoroughly to ensure an anaerobic environment for steady fermentation.

Ongoing Monitoring & Maintenance

Throughout the season, we regularly inspect your silage clamp and test the ensiled material. This enables us to advise you on optimal opening and feeding times. We also offer maintenance services – clearing spoiled sections or topping off opened clamps to exclude air. Our maintenance keeps your silage nutritious right through the feeding period.

When it comes time to empty your silage clamp, we can do so at whatever rate matches your livestock’s needs. Using specialised loading shovels and diet feeders, we can remove exact quantities from your clamp’s face without allowing in extra air and spoilage. We’ll ensure clean vertical faces and weighting to prevent wastage and deterioration of the remaining silage.
