On Friday 29th October, friends and family of the AR Richards staff took part in the 5k Hope House Dark Run/Waddle/Walk. After being limited to social events it was FANTASTIC to see so many of the team supporting the event… we had runners from Transport, Weighbridge, Accounts, HR, Building Merchants, Waste, Skip Team, Eurobins and Construction!

Dave Morgan took on the challenge of Course Designer. He created a challenging multi lap course that included lots of puddles and dark patches to make our run a little bit spookier! Overall, we needed to do 4.75 laps to complete the 5km. Luckily the weather was kind to us, and we didn’t have any soggy witches! Friends and family were asked to dress up which added to the Spooookktacular. Turning a dark corner and being confronted by a glow in the dark skeleton certainly added to it.

Once we had all completed, we all met back at the staff canteen to cheer on everyone else and present all runners with their Glow in the Dark Hope House Medals. We also had some special prizes for those who showed off their spooky side and dressed up.

Overall, we had a really fun family night all for a great cause! Being able to able to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen in a while, whilst exercising and dressed up.

The team at A R Richards managed to raise a whopping £800 with a few more donations to come in.  Thank you to everyone that took part and came to support and after brief discussions look out for the DARK RUN 2022 which we hope will be bigger and better!
