Louise, Contract Administrator
As International Women’s Day approaches, the world gears up to celebrate the achievements, contributions, and resilience of women everywhere. This year, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Louise, our Contract Administrator at A.R.Richards Ltd., to discuss her thoughts on this important day and gain insight into her experiences as a woman in the workforce.
What does International Women's Day mean to you?
“It’s not something I’ve really celebrated before,” Louise begins, “but I can understand the importance behind the meaning of International Women’s Day. It’s a good day to celebrate the achievements of women around the world!”
Kay, HR Manager
Tell us about yourself...
Laura, Purchase Ledger
Louise, 25, resides in Shropshire and has been a valued member of the A.R.Richards team for three years. Initially working in the HR department, she handled payroll, recruitment, and various administrative tasks. “I really enjoy my role as I get to see the ins and outs of the company,” Louise shares. “I’ve been able to witness the company grow over the years that I’ve been with them.” In her current role as Contract Administrator, Louise manages tenders for the business, visits customers occasionally, orders PPE, assists with event planning, and lends a hand to other departments when needed.
What is your proudest achievement?
With a proud smile, Louise recounts, “Skydiving for Air Ambulance last year, raising £3k with Newport Young Farmers and not dying. Loved it!” Her adventurous spirit and dedication to a good cause are truly commendable.
Natasha, Marketing Assistant
Who is an inspirational woman to you?
Chloe, Euro Bin Manager & Louise, Contract Administrator
“My Grandma Jean,” Louise answers without hesitation. “I see her every Saturday to spend time with her. Grandma worked in a potato field and worked incredibly hard to get her house with Grandad.” Louise’s admiration for her grandmother’s work ethic and resilience shines through.
Give us an inspirational quote for the next generation!
In closing, I asked Louise to share an inspirational quote for the next generation of women. After a moment of thought, she offered these empowering words:
“Empower yourself with knowledge, inspire others with kindness, and let your resilience be the light that guides you.”
Additionally, there is an exciting video interview conducted with Natasha, Laura, and Jenny, which is available on A.R.Richards Ltd’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages. In this video, these remarkable women share their experiences and insights as part of the company’s International Women’s Day celebrations.

International Women’s Day is an occasion to celebrate the achievements of women across the globe, to recognize the progress that has been made in the fight for gender equality, and to renew our commitment to creating a world where every woman has the opportunity to thrive. It’s a day to acknowledge the challenges that women continue to face, such as discrimination, violence, and unequal access to resources and opportunities. It’s also a day to honour the many ways in which women have contributed to society, from advancing science and technology to leading social justice movements and advocating for human rights.
To commemorate this day, A.R. Richards Ltd is also photographing other staff members, showcasing the diverse and talented women who contribute to the company’s success.
