The size of the skip you should hire depends on the amount and type of waste you need to dispose of. A R Richards offers a range of skip sizes, from 4-yard skips to 40-yard skips, to accommodate various needs. Skip hire is designed for general waste only. Hazardous materials such as asbestos, chemicals, or electrical items cannot be disposed of in skips. Additionally, some items such as plasterboard and mattresses may require additional charges due to their disposal requirements.
A R Richards offers a standard hire period of 14 days. However, we understand that projects can take longer than anticipated, which is why we offer the option to extend your hire period for an additional fee. Alternatively, if you need the skip collected earlier than planned, we can arrange for a prompt collection at a time that suits you.
Yes, it is possible to place a skip on the road, but you will need a permit from the local council. A R Richards can arrange the permit for you, but it’s important to allow enough time for the permit to be processed before the skip is delivered.
If you need a skip for a longer period than the standard 14-day hire period, we offer the option to extend your hire period for an additional fee. Simply let us know when booking your skip, and we can arrange this for you.
If you don’t have space for a skip on your property, you may be able to place it on the road with a permit from the local council. Alternatively, we offer a wait and load service, where our driver will wait while you load the skip, and then take it away immediately after. This is a great option for those with limited space or for those who need to dispose of waste quickly.
