The Royal British Legion has been supporting the Armed Forces community since 1921 and intend on being around for as long as they are needed.
The Royal British Legion hold a period of Remembrance every November, where we remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community. Part of the period of remembrance is the Poppy Appeal, which is their biggest fundraising campaign.
Wearing a poppy is a way of showing appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, veterans and their families, both past and present.
As the country’s largest Armed Forces charity and Market Drayton being a proud military town, it makes sense that we support this worthwhile charity. Working together with local legend and ex RAF airman ‘Poppy Jim’ we are happy to raise as much money and awareness as we can.
