How A R Richards Recycle
There are a vast number of products that can be reused and recycled once they are redundant from their primary purpose. From broken plastic toys to farm baler twine, CDs & Vapes, these are all waste items that can be repurposed. By sending waste to a specialist Waste Management firm, this waste is diverted from landfill and can be repurposed and continue to be used.
At A R Richards, we see waste as a valuable resource, and through our Two Material Recovery Facility (MRFs) in Shropshire, we can separate all the recyclables into different waste streams. The team at A R Richards then bale this into single stream products, before finally sending them off for reprocessing.

A R Richards offer a various recycling options, including Dry Mixed Recycling. By co-mingling recyclable items, you can maximise the capacity of the container, i.e. Euro Bin. Mixed Recycling results in a vast reduction in General Waste. Unlike many waste companies, A R Richards will process General Waste to ensure that we have maximised all recyclables. We offer flexible collection and delivery times, with a state of the art fleet operating 6 days a week the transport team will support every customer to ensure that you are able to maximise capacities.

Wood Recycling
With large clean tipping facilities any size vehicle is accepted. We accept wood waste from the following sectors:
- Waste Management
- Demolition
- Building Contractors
- Landscapers
- General Public (in the form of skips)
- Warehousing units
- Commercial Premises
Grade A – Soft unpainted white wood including pallets, scaffold boards, joists, untreated floor boards, crates & clean boxes. This grade will be reprocessed and sent for either the biomass or bedding markets.
Grade C – Wooden door & window frames (no glass), painted soft wood, treated floor boards, roof trusses, MDF, plywood, fibreboard, bhipboard & all wooden furniture. This grade is sent for Biomass.
We can also accept Grade D wood at our Bensite premises located at TF9 2JJ. This grade consists of CCA treated products, railway sleepers & telegraph poles. This grade is sent to a specialist hazardous waste biomass plant.

Once the material has been tipped the recycling operatives get to work, separating all the waste into the designated material bays. Once the material has been separated it will be sent to our bailing operation. This process is to ensure that we maximise weight efficiency for future transportation. This also helps reduce any environmental impacts by using less transport.
Once the material is baled it will be stored ready to move to it’s final recycling destination. Where possible we will try to send our material to a UK processing plant, if this is not possible we send material all over the world in either shipping container or articulated lorry’s.
